Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF), worked closely with the staff of Silicato Development and the general contractor, Brendon Warfel, to design Silicato Development’s 3,000 SF business office. The team worked to layout the spaces required for the office and then worked closely with the staff to develop a character for each room. The staff offices have lower ceilings and task lighting while the owners desired classic detailing such as wainscoting and coffered ceilings for their office. The break room was detailed with brick, decorated wood and steel ceiling joists and concrete counter tops to give an industrial feel to the space.

The conference room was detailed with glass walls, appropriate lighting, and incorporated a new technology on the long back wall; a wall finish that incorporated drawings completed for Silicato over the last 30 years. DBF worked directly with the subcontractor Master Acoustical of Milford, Delaware to create a wall system with selected design drawings of Silicato projects for the conference room wall. This wall is visible through the glass entry wall of the conference room and becomes a focal point for visitors upon entering the office space.
