Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF), performed the site design for the new Rehoboth Beach Elementary School. The school was designed to address enrollment capacity challenges and officially opened it’s doors in the fall of 2019.

DBF was responsible for preparing the preliminary site plan in consultation with the lead architecture firm. The internal design included traffic flow for buses, parental drop off, faculty and passenger mobility. The stormwater was designed to meet the stormwater regulations that were adopted in 2014; the stormwater design includes the use of bio-filtration swales and infiltration ponds.

The project was also designed to meet the requirements of the City of Rehoboth for water and sewer, Division of Health and Social Services for water main construction and DNREC for the wastewater construction permit and sediment and stormwater management.
