Project Description
Frontier Town Sewer
This project consisted of upgrades to the sewer transmission systems for the Frontier Town campground. A small diameter force main was installed on-site to convey the waste to the new Worcester County regional pump station. The new force main along Route 611 conveys wastewater to the existing Mystic Harbour Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Three existing bathhouses were upgraded with concrete septic tanks for storage, duplex grinder pump stations, system controls, and alarms. Each site included a propane generator and emergency bypass connection for system redundancy. Within the Frontier Town campground, 4,600 LF of 3” force main was installed with an open-cut and directional drill to convey wastewater to the regional Worcester County pump station.
Davis, Bowen, & Friedel, Inc. (DBF), provided full-service engineering for this project including survey, design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration services. The construction was completed on time and within budget with the DBF construction engineering team coordination between the campground, county, and contractor, with DBF’s resident project representatives providing quality control.
