After celebrating their tenth anniversary, Dickens Parlour Theatre, a professional cultural and entertainment venue specializing in magic, musical and theatrical shows, teamed up with Good Earth Market & Restaurant, a local favorite, to create an extraordinary dinner theatre experience – unlike any other in the area.

Outgrowing their old facility in Millville, Delaware, and with a dream of a new theatre on the horizon, the owners of Dickens Parlour Theatre sought the ingenuity of Davis, Bowen & Friedel to design a spacious 5,000 SF auditorium-style theatre that would propel their life long dream to fruition. The new state-of-the-art venue provides the theatre with added space and flexibility for larger and more creative acts, and serves as hub of entertainment for tourists seeking high-quality amusement along the coast of Delaware.

Beyond the varied professional entertainment and dining offerings, the new theater welcomes functions such as weddings, celebrations, lectures, and informal gatherings. The theater’s own open-air patio adjoins Good Earth Market’s existing gardens and veranda, providing opportunities for community functions outdoors.

Davis, Bowen & Friedel provided programming, conceptual design, schematic design, and construction documents. Services provided included architecture and structural engineering.
