STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING
Our structural engineers provide our clients with structural design services that include, analyses, evaluations, inspections, and renovations for projects such as marinas and bulkheads; low-rise, multi-story commercial and residential buildings; educational facilities; water and wastewater treatment work; and industrial and manufacturing plants.
Our structural expertise includes the design of timber frame construction; structural steel; pre-stressed concrete; reinforced masonry; reinforced concrete; concrete foundations; timber bridges; pile foundations; vehicular and pedestrian bridges and the evaluation of buildings and structures. With a certified Federal Highway Administration safety inspector on staff, we can assist with bridge inspection services.
Structural evaluations are critical following natural disaster, fire, or other impactful occurrences. DBF is prepared to provide such on-site services under these circumstances. Several employees within the firm are certified building evaluators in the Safety Assessment Program by the American Institute of Architects, a nationally recognized post-disaster responder program.
