STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

In this role, we are looking for an individual who can perform structural engineering duties in the design of new buildings and structures; inspection and analysis of existing structures; and performing construction administration services. The candidate should take no exception in prioritizing public safety. Project types and facilities will include, but not be limited to, educational, healthcare, commercial, public safety, coastal and residential. The ideal candidate should have knowledge in structural design and analysis, building design codes, and structural design software, REVIT/AutoCAD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design structures, develop/generate plans, and manage multiple projects.
  • Preparation of specifications and construction documents.
  • Analyze configurations of a structure and perform analyses of building materials.
  • Inspect properties to evaluate conditions and recommend repairs, additions, and other changes for existing structures.
  • Create structural and testing models utilizing structural computation software.
  • Research and evaluate structural hazards and recommend improvements for safety accordingly.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

The preferred candidate shall possess a four (4) year degree in civil engineering and have passed the fundamentals of engineering exam or have the ability to within 12 months of hire.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

The preferred candidate should be:

Detail Oriented – Ability to exercise attention to detail and have a solid understanding of how buildings are constructed.

Creative – Ability to innovate and develop creative solutions within the built environment.

An Effective Communicator – Ability to clearly communicate ideas, actively listen, and ask appropriate questions.

A Critical Thinker – Ability to problem solve, make good decisions, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
