Project Description

Princess Anne Solar

This solar project involved the construction of solar arrays at the Princess Anne Wastewater Treatment Plant. A total of 650 panels were installed in order to offset the cost of the energy utilized at the plant. This will help the Princess Anne Sanitary District save considerably on energy consumption when they upgrade the wastewater treatment plant. These cost savings due to the energy reduction will allow for the sanitary district to perform alternate energy savings work such as replacing inefficient pumps and streamlining processes.

Davis, Bowen & Friedel, provided full-service engineering for this project and included the acquisition of the Energy Water Infrastructure Program (EWIP) Grant Funding from the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE).

Full services included surveying, design, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and inspection services. Construction was completed on time and within budget with the DBF engineering team coordinating with the county and contractor. DBF’s resident project representatives provided quality control throughout construction.
