Cruz of Davis, Bowen & Friedel Attains Planning Certification and Appointed as Associate
Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF), is pleased to announce that Sharon Cruz, P.E., AICP, has been appointed as an associate of the firm. Cruz also recently attained her credentials as a Certified Planner from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
Since joining the firm in 2023, Sharon has brought with her over 27 years in surveying, engineering, and land planning, and has fostered strong working relationships with local clients, spanning work across the Delmarva Peninsula in both public and private districts, focusing primarily on the public sector. Over Cruz’s career, she has served in the capacity of Town Engineer and consultant for the Town of Clayton, Georgetown, Greenwood, Selbyville, Little Creek, Delaware City, Houston, Millsboro, and Milton, Delaware. With her newly attained Planners Certification, Cruz has been able to expand DBF’s capabilities to assist clients.

Cruz’s technical expertise includes stormwater and flood management, utility infrastructure integration, grant and code writing and revisions, land use and zoning analyses, infrastructure design and rehabilitation, state and federal funding assistance, water supply and treatment, and civil site design for residential, medical, and commercial applications in Delaware and Maryland. Cruz is based out of the Milford, Delaware office.
